Lightweight plaster for wet areas

A moisture-proof ready-mixed plaster for smoothing walls and ceilings in dry and wet areas. Provides a suitable surface for waterproofing, tiling and painting as well as fixing gypsum plasterboard reinforcing tape in wet areas.

]]> Application

Kiilto LW is waterbased, ready-mixed universal plaster. The plaster provides suitable surface for waterproofing, tiling or painting. Complies with the requirements of EN 13963:2005 and EN 15824:2009 standards.

Instructions for use

The surfaces to be plastered must be clean, dry and free from dust. A new coat should not be applied until the previous one is dry. If needed, the surface should be carefully sanded and cleaned before applying a new plaster coat.

When fixing reinforcing tapes, apply the plaster in the joint and press the paper tape firmly in the plaster. Smooth the joint by applying a second plaster layer using a broader steel trowel. After drying the surface can be easily sanded.

Kiilto LW is a ready-mixed plaster. After long storing, stir before use. If needed, the plaster can be thinned with a small amount of water. The plaster is applied with a steel trowel.

A lightweight, ready-mixed plaster for finishing walls and ceilings in dry interior areas prior to painting and wallpapering. Suitable also for fixing and smoothing reinforcing tape to gypsum plaster boards.

Provides suitable surface for painting and wallpapering. We recommend painting the surface before wallpapering to aid future removal. Complies with the requirements of EN 13963:2005 and EN 15824:2009 standards.

The product can be diluted with water, if needed. The plaster is applied with a steel trowel. The plaster can also be applied with a long haired roller, and then the surface is smoothed with a steel trowel.

When fixing reinforcing tapes, apply the plaster in joint and press the paper tape firmly in the plaster. Smooth the joint by applying a second plaster layer using a broader steel trowel. After drying the surface can be easily sanded.

When smoothing painted glass fibre wallpaper, apply first a plaster layer, then sand and add another thin plaster layer. This diminishes the risk of pinholes in paint.

We recommend painting the surface before wallpapering to aid future removal. Complies with the requirements of EN 13963:2005 and EN 15824:2009 standards.

Kiilto J is a ready-mixed plaster. After long storing, stir before use. The product can be diluted with water, if needed. Fixing of reinforcing tapes: Apply the plaster in joint and press the tape firm in plaster with a narrow steel trowel. After that smooth the joint by applying plaster over the reinforcing tape using a broad steel trowel. After drying the surface can be sanded, if necessary. If the board edges are not thinned, smooth the plaster widely enough outside the joint to have a smooth finish. In this case also the edges of the gypsum board are tapered.
