Application

Kiilto Acryl is a one-component latex caulk for jointing and sealing. Suitable applications include door and window frames as well as other structures, corners, joints, interior lining board and cracks. Can be painted. Complies with the requirements of EN 15651:-1:2012 standard.

Instructions for use

The surface to be jointed must be free from dust and grease. Solid foam plastic profile can be used as joint bottom filler.

Cut open the cone at the front end of the cartridge. Screw the extrusion tip in place and cut it to the desired size. The surface to be jointed must be free from dust and grease. Press sealant to the joint and smooth it immediately by using a trowel or fingertip moistened with clean water.

Kiilto Pro Clear

Application

One-component Kiilto Clear adhesive is a clear, elastic sealant based on silyl polymer technology. Suitable for fixing and sealing in- and outside. Suitable for applications that need fast curing, e.g. vehicle bodies (cars, boats and mobile homes), linings, construction boards and movement joints exposed to mechanical wear.

Instructions for use

Materials to be used must be dust-free, dry and free from grease and oil. Good adhesion on various stones, concrete, most metals, wood, glass and glazed surfaces as well as epoxy and polyester surfaces. With plastic materials adhesive tests are recommended prior to actual use. Cut open the cone at the front end of the cartridge. Screw the extrusion tip in place and cut it to appropriate size to fit the joint width. Apply adhesive with a manual or compressed air pistol, and smooth with a trowel to desired shape, if needed. Apply adhesive in stripes and smooth with a trowel, if needed. Close the package carefully after use. Uncured product can be removed with xylene or acetone. Cured product can be removed only mechanically. Under extreme climatic conditions KiiltoFix Clear may slightly change its colour. Not recommended to be used for glazing (fixing glass or sealing glass in window frames).

Kiilto Pro Masa

Application

Good adhesion on various stones, concrete, most metals, wood, glass and glazed surfaces as well as epoxy and polyester surfaces. For plastic materials adhesive tests are recommended prior to actual use. M1-emission classification for building products. Solvent-free – does not contain isocyanates or phthalates. Paintable with most water-based paints (always test before use). Very good resistance against weathering, good resistance against UV radiation. Good resistance against chemicals (weak solutions). Salt water resistant. Not suitable for glazing.

Instructions for use

Materials being used must be dust-free, dry and free from grease and oil. When gluing large uniform surfaces or surfaces in very dry conditions, we suggest spraying lightly with water (approx. 5–10 g/m²). We recommend cleaning surfaces with Kiilto Cleaner 303 and priming with Kiiltoflex Metalliprimer.

Kiilto Pro XPU

Application

Kiilto XPU is a fast bonding, polyurethane-enhanced elastic adhesive sealant based on silyl polymer technology. Suitable for gluing and sealing of various materials (including weld lines) in structural bondings. Typical applications include truck bodies, mobile homes, buses and trains. In building Kiilto XPU is used e.g. for fixing of insulation panels, battens, washbasins and toilet seats. Suitable also to be used in conjunction with Kiilto one-component waterproofing membranes for sealing wall penetrations and for sealing Tulppa-wet room boards and inlets. Good adhesion on various stones, concrete, most metals, wood, glass and glazed surfaces as well as epoxy and polyester surfaces. With plastic and rubber preliminary adhesive tests are recommended prior to actual use. Has M1-emission classification for building products. Excellent adhesion to different materials – in most cases no need for priming. Elastic, yet mechanically strong bond. Does not contain PVC or solvents. Almost odourless. Good resistance against chemicals (weak solutions). Excellent resistance to weathering and UV-radiation. Almost non-shrinking. Paintable with most paints (test always before use). Sandable.

The adhesive is spread on the surface and smoothed with a trowel, if needed. When gluing large uniform surfaces or surfaces in very dry conditions, we suggest light spraying with water (approx. 5–10 g/m 2 ). Close the package carefully after use. Uncured product can be removed with Kiilto Cleaner 303 or acetone. Cured product can be removed only mechanically. Prevailing conditions such as temperature, substrate’s temperature, material and humidity as well as the amount of adhesive applied have a strong impact on the skin time and drying.
